Health Information Expo held at the Tai Poutini Polytechnic

The Health expo held at Tai Poutini Polytechnic on Thursday December 1 and Friday December 2, 2011 was an important ongoing step in engaging with the public over a proposed redevelopment of Grey Base Hospital and the setting up of a Greymouth Integrated Family Healthcare Centre.
The Expo will also be seen at other West Coast venues over the next few months, so all Coasters can view it and have their say.

Low Fees

Primary Care Practices
The West Coast DHB has implemented the Very Low Cost Access scheme for patients at all its primary care practices. This helps keep fees very low for people who can least afford primary health care and improve health outcomes for those likely to have the worst health.
Patients enrolled with the West Coast PHO can have a standard consultation in normal clinic hours for the costs below.
- $0.00 for children under six years of age;
- $11.50 for children 6 - 17 years;
- $17.00 for adults aged 18 years and over.
