The West Coast DHB is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Joel George as Acting CE of the DHB. Mr George will take up the position on 4 August 2008.
Mr Kevin Hague, the incumbent CE, will take a period of leave without pay leading up to the general election. However it has been negotiated that he will be on hand for a limited period to assist Mr George to take up the role and to facilitate the completion of the current phase of the Sustainability Project.
Mr George has a distinguished management career and comes to the role from a position as General Manager Public Hospital and Health services at Whanganui DHB. He has previously been General Manager of the Parliamentary Service and CE of the Wairarapa DHB.
