The West Coast District Health Board is happy to announce the appointment of three new doctors to provide healthcare to the people of the Buller area.
Dr Nina Stupples will spend two days each week at Buller Health's hospital and two days at Reefton Health. She has a six month contract and is due to commence 20 October 2008.
Dr Denise McKee has a permanent contract and will spend three days each week tending to the patients of the Karamea and Ngakawau practices. She is due to commence on 10 November 2008.
Dr Kurt Swanson also commenced work at Buller Health this week on a six month contract.
Manager of Buller Health, Jenny Robertson welcomed the new appointments and said, "We are very happy Dr Swanson has joined our Buller Health team. He and his family have been exploring the sights and are settling in to life here on the Coast. We welcome back Dr Stupples, she has locumed for us before. The Rural Nurses in Karamea and Ngakawau and the rest of the Buller Health team are looking forward to working with Dr McKee."
