The West Coast District Health Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Joel George as Chief Executive Officer. This appointment is the result of an extensive recruitment process where a number of high quality applicants were interviewed.
Joel George was the Acting Chief Executive Officer for the West Coast District Health Board, a position he has held since the previous chief executive, Kevin Hague, took leave to run for Parliament in August 2008.
Mr George has a distinguished management career and comes to the role from a position as General Manager Public Hospital and Health services at Whanganui DHB. He has previously been General Manager of the Parliamentary Service and CE of the Wairarapa DHB.
