Tender for an Aged Residential Care service in Westport

West Coast DHB is seeking proposals for the provision of an aged residential care service in Westport that would bring together rest home and longstay hospital beds into one facility, and also if possible include dementia rest home beds and supportive housing units.
The redevelopment of Buller Hospital gives an opportunity to look for a more sustainable way of providing aged residential care in Westport. We are inviting proposals for a service that would combine all forms of aged care into one facility, and also if possible extend the service to a small dementia unit and to supportive housing units.
We welcome joint proposals from existing providers and/or any new providers.
This tender closes on Friday 8 August, and the preferred provider will be identified by 5 September.

A notice about the tender has been circulated to all West Coast residential care providers, Healthcare Providers of NZ, newspapers in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland, and relevant internet sites.
